How much are consultations?

In office consultations are a flat $50 dollar fee and last up to one hour.

What is your hourly rate?

I charge a different rate depending on the type and complexity of the case. It varies from $130 to $200 dollars. If you compare these rates to other attorneys, you will find that these are highly competitive rates. Additionally, unlike many attorneys, I do not have a minimum billing amount.

Do you accept fixed rate work?

I do accept fixed rate cases in non-adversarial issues (cases with no opposing party, i.e. business incorporation, wills, etc.), however, I offer this fixed rate on a case by case basis depending on the difficulty, complexity, and the forseeability of adversarial (court) proceedings in connection with the case.

How long will my case take?

Every case is different; therefore the amount of time a case will take will vary. But if your case involves court dates and appearances, plan for several months between filing and the first court date.

What are the court costs and fees?

Filing some court cases can be very expensive, and you should know these costs upfront. You can look up the fee schedule on the websites of the applicable county court. However, if you have reduced circumstances, you may qualify for a reduced filing fee. You should consult with an attorney to see if you qualify.

Do you take credit cards?

Currently, we do not take credit cards, however we may in the future. For now, we request that all clients pay by check.
